About me…
I’m Kirsty and I received my BA (Hons) QTS in 1999 from Brunel University. Since then, I have worked continuously in primary education, from class teacher to established qualified SENDCo. Throughout the years I have worked with a number of children with literacy difficulties and in my quest to know how best to support them, I have achieved the PG Cert (Level 7) in Specialist Teaching and Assessment for Dyslexia. This enables me to carry out diagnostic assessments and provide recommendations to support children and young people in their individual journeys through education and into the future.

I hold a current DBS and am fully insured
From a personal perspective, I have two adult children with additional needs; one with ASD and ADHD, and the other with a diagnosis of dyslexia. Through this, and my educational experience I am able to support parents to deepen their understanding of their child and realise the importance of providing a secure grounding to allow young people to grow and flourish and to happily fulfil their potential.

My calm and reassuring approach encourages the learner, and through thorough assessment, their needs and strengths can be identified. This enables them to be supported in school and at home through meaningful and detailed recommendations.
